PokerStars Saturday Tournaments

If you are looking to win huge in a poker tournament, there is no doubt that the weekend is where it’s at. The typical work schedule offers people weekends off, and gambling can be a great way to spend free time. As a result, the number of people that launch the PokerStars download swells when the weekend comes around.

Saturday brings a lot of traffic to the top Texas Holdem sites, but there aren’t many poker tournaments that are exclusive to the day. This is the complete opposite of Sunday, which hosts multiple tourneys with huge guarantees across all sites.

PokerStars decided to fill this gap in the tourney schedule and come up with what goes by the Saturday Lineup. The Saturday Lineup consists of 7 special tourneys that only take place on Saturdays. There is a generous guarantee for all the events, and the target market is the small stakes tourney player.

You need to be awake at 07:00 ET to play the first event, and it offers 6-max NL Hold’em. You can buy-in for $22 and the guarantee is $30,000.

The Saturday Micro is a $3.30 event made for those with small bankrolls. If you can win part of the $30k that’s guaranteed, your bankroll is sure to benefit by leaps and bounds. You need to be awake at 08:00 ET to play this tournament.

If you need a good Omaha tournament to play on Saturdays, 09:00 ET hosts a Pot Limit Omaha tournament for $55. The guarantee for this MTT is also $30k (just like the other two I’ve already talked about.

No Limit Hold’em is the featured game in the other four events I’m about to talk about. 10:00 AM ET event features an entry fee of $27. It has been dubbed the Saturday Eliminator and features a a guaranteed prize pool of $40k. If you can’t get out of bed until 15:30 ET, you can pay $11 to play some heads-up. This MTT goes by the name of the Saturday Duel, and it features a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool.

There are two turbo events in the Saturday Lineup. The first occurs at 11:00 AM ET, and it’s a rebuy event. You can buy-in to the event for $2.22, and it’s advisable to have some extra money to rebuy/add-on for $2.00 each. The awesome thing about turbos is often bigger prize pools – how does $50k sound?

The second turbo in the Saturday Lineup also has a $50,000 minimum prize pool. It takes place at 19:00 ET and features a $33 buy-in. This tournament is called the Saturday Speedway.

More players means bigger prizes, and bigger prizes means more money in your pocket! Now low stakes players have a reason to look forward to the weekend! If you can’t afford the large buy-ins of the Sunday Majors, you will absolutely love the Saturday Lineup.
