PokerStars has a FAQ for how they award FPPs, it’s complicated reading, but for the newbie, all you have to know is this:
* For tournaments, you earn 5.5 FPPs per dollar of entry fee or 8 FPPs per euro of entry fee.
* For cash games of 8 seats or more, your table earns 6 FPPs per dollar or 8.5 FPPs per euro of “rake” fee per hand (the amount of money PokerStars takes from the pot as compensation), split evenly among the people dealt into the hand. For example, if nine people are playing and the rake fee is $3.00, the table earns 18 FPPs, split among nine people means each player earns 2 FPPs.
* For cash games of 7 seats or less, you get 5.5 FPPs per dollar or 8 FPPs per euro of rake fee, divided among the people playing.
* If you play more often, you can acquire FPPs at double (after acquiring 3000 FPPs in a month), triple (100,000 in a year), or even quintuple (1,000,000 in a year) these rates.
